Sister Christine

Since 2012 Sister Christine Onsongo is in charge of the St. Francis Rehabilitation Project.

She belongs to the Mill Hill Congregation. Sister Christine is a graduated social worker. Before she started her work at Small Home she had already worked with HIV infected people in different hospitals and with street children. Her love for children is unlimited and she is always motivated to give her best for them.

Staff

In total Small Home has 20 staff in various areas. There are 6 housemothers who take care of the children, 2 therapists and one social worker. Furthermore there are 2 cooks, 2 cleaning women, 2 guards and 2 workers who do the farming (look after the cows and goats and water the vegetables). Sister Christine is responsible for the organization of the project and gets support from an accountant. Last but not least two special classes teachers, who teach the children at HGM, belong to the team.

Lisi Felder

In 2016 I visited Small Home for the first time. I was impressed by the children and the whole project. In 2017 I spent 3 months as a volunteer in the "Small Home". It was an amazing time for me. After getting back to Austria I decided to do my very best to support the home, Sister Christine and the children.
